County Tax Collector.

Staff recommends adopting the resolution and ordinance.
Public works director, Stuart Patterson gave a presentation

Motion by Councilmember Arias to approve staff's recommendation to
approve Item 9.a.1. and 9.a. 2. Motion passed with Councilmember
Gonzalez and Councilmember Freeman absent.

12. NEW BUSINESS
13. COUNCIL AND MAYOR STATEMENTS
Councilmember Smith asked what type of a response had been received
on the survey. Paul Saldana, Economic Development Director gave a
brief update.
Councilmember Smith also asked about a referral made by
councilmember Parlier to update the city charter and where staff is on that
referral?
Councilmember Parlier stated with an increase in media coverage
regarding crime, he is requesting the Police and Fire Chiefs address the
Council to give an update on what's happening in our community. He
also asked the City Manager to invite District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer to
address the Council.
Mayor Goh offered her congratulations to the Liberty High School Patriots
and the Independence High School Falcons football teams for making it
to the California Interscholastic Federation Football Championships.
