A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELID, CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT FOR SEWER
CONNECTION FEE ANI> AUTHORIZING THE COLLECTION
OF ASSESSMENT BY THE KERN COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR_
WHEREAS, the owners of the property os set forth in Exhibit "A," located
within the City of BoKersfield, will connect their property to the City sewer system;
and
WHEREAS, the City finds that to pay the cost of the sewer connection fee in
one payment woLJld produce an economic hardship on the property owners; and
WHEREAS, to assist the property owners in paying the sewer connection fee
the City has agreed to spread the cost of the fee over an eight year period; and
WHEREAS, the property owners (set forth in Exhibit"^") hove entered into on
agreement with the City to pay the cost of the connection fee throLJgh their
property taxes over the next eight years_
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVES by the I✓OVnCil of the City of BoKersfield
as follows:
1 . The foregoing recitals ore true and correct and ore incorporated herein.
2_ The City Council hereby confirms and approves the individual
assessments for sewer connection fee set forth in Exhibit "A".
3. The Kern County Tox Collector is hereby aLJthorized to collect the
assessment for the sewer connection fee in equal payments over the next eight
years_
4. The provisions of Proposition 21 S do not apply as the sewer connection
fee cost was imposed at the written recqq-Jest of the property owners.
