OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER
Feb. 11, 2022 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council FROM: Christian Clegg, City Manager SUBJECT: General Information
Notable Items
Some great news about Public Safety & Vital Services (PSVS) Measure-funded
improvements coming to Jastro Park (2900 Truxtun Avenue): The fencing has
been removed from around the newly
resurfaced basketball courts (right) and
they are ready for the public to enjoy
again! You can check out video of
some residents already taking to the
court this week on the City’s Instagram
account.
Not only that, but demolition has started
on the playground there as well (below).
Jastro Park is one of 12 parks getting new
playground equipment as part of the
City’s Playground Rehabilitation Project. The park will be closed off as
crews work to install new equipment. Both of these projects were made
possible thanks to the PSVS Measure, also known as Measure N.
