Regular Meeting - 4:00 P.M.

1. ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order 4 p.m.
Present: Chair Turner, Commissioners Rocha -
Vasquez, Miranda, Garza, Banuelos, Alternate Commissioners Evans,
Dewey, Yum, Dison.
Absent: Vice -Chair Whitlock, Commissioners Young,
Hernandez, Alternate Commissioners Salinas and
Marino.
2. PUBLIC STATEMENTS
None
3. SUMMARY REPORT
a. Adoption of the May 28, 2019 Youth Commission minutes
Motion by Eric Miranda Regular Member Ward 4 to Approve.
Seconded by Jasmine Garza Regular Member Ward 5. Motion Passed.
4. NEW BUSINESS
a. "Sing Out, Speak Out" Youth Commission Event Review
Nathan Gutierrez, City Manager's Office, Congratulated Youth Commission on
a successful event and announced Mayor Goh in attendance.
Commissioners gave feedback on event and discussed ideas for next year's
event.
Mayor Goh, thanked commissioners and made suggestion.
Nathan Gutierrez, City Manager's Office, presented the sing out video.
No action was taken.
b. Recognize outgoing Youth Commissioners
Mayor Goh presented the Mayors Medal to outgoing Chair Turner and
Commissioner Rocha and thanked them for their service. Outgoing Vice -Chair
Whitlock was absent and will receive the Mayors Medal at a later date.
c. Discuss new Youth Commission Chairperson
Nathen Gutierrez, City Manager's Office, opened discussion for a new Youth
Commission Chairperson.
Staff made comments, regarding voting procedure.
Commissioners made comments.
No action was taken.
