Present: Commissioners, Dewey, Young, Miranda, Garza, Hernandez,
Banuelos, Alternate Commissioners, Baldovinos, Yum, Dison.
Absent: Commissioners, Evans, Alternate Commissioner Schweiger,
Salinas, Merino
2. PUBLIC STATEMENTS

3. SUMMARY REPORT
a. Adoption of the December 2, 2019 Youth Commission Minutes
Motion by Commissioner Dewey to Approve.
Seconded by Commissioner Young.
Motion Passed.
4. NEW BUSINESS
a. Adoption of the 2020 Youth Commission Meeting Calendar
Staff recommends adoption of the 2020 Youth Commission Meeting
Calendar
Motion by Commissioner Garza to Approve.
Seconded by Commissioner Dewey.
Motion Passed.
b. Presentation by Mike Russo & Angel Almendarez of the Kern Initiative For
Talent & Entrepreneurship
Mike Russo from Regional occupational center Kern high school district
made presentation regarding small business entrepreneurship.
Angel Almendarez continued presentation on next level entrepreneurship.
No Action Taken.
c. Continue discussion on Youth Commission PSA project ideas
Nathan Gutierrez, City Manager's Office, made comments.
No Action Taken.
5. STAFF COMMENTS
Nathan Gutierrez, City manager's Office, made comments and introduced
Anthony Valdez with the City Manager's Office.
Christina Oleson, City Attorney's Office, made comments.
6. COMMISSION COMMENTS
Commissioners, Miranda, Dison, Banuelos, Hernandez, Dewey and Young
made comments on topics for the Public Service Announcement and
requested staff invite BPD and KBB to next month's meeting.
