the undersigned owners of more than seventy-five per cent
• (%j) of the street frontage on r'irst street in the Goode Tract of
Bakersfield, do hereby petition that r-irst ::street between Oleander
Avenue on the East and A Street on the Nest be narrowed to a sixty
foot (60) street to conform to the width of r'irst Street in Laguna
Square and furthermore, that said portion of First .street be shown
on the City _ap with combined curb anu sidewalk instead of split
curb anu sidewalk, also to conform to the present sidewalk, layout
on rirst Street in Lacuna Square. 21lese changes may be made at
this time without inconvenience or injustice to any property owners
on said portion of r'irst Street as there are at present no curbs or
sidewalk improvements on this property. .e believe that such a
change in the city map will not only benefit the property owners
here when the street improvements are iiiade but will also continue
a partially developed street along the lines of the present develop-
ment adjacent to it .
