BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFI�LD, as follows: That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Bakersfield to order the closing of the following described portions of Poplar Street, and that the lands included within the boundaries of such portions, as described, be abandoned: SECTION 1. Poplar Street between the northerly line of 18th Street and the southerly line of 19th Street, being a parcel of land 82.5 feet in width, lying easterly of, adjacent to, and contiguous with the easterly line of Block 434 and extending from the northerly line of 18th Street to the southerly line of 19th Street; said Block 434 is shown on "Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, California", filed in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, November 25th, 1898. SECTION 2. Poplar Street between.the northerly line of 16th Street and the southerly line of Truxtun Avenue; being a parcel of land 82.5 feet in width lying easterly of, adjacent to, and contiguous with the easterly line of Block 417B and extending from the northerly line of 16th Street to the southerly line of Truxtun Avenue; said Block 417B is shown on "Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, California", filed in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, November 25th, 1898. SECTION 3. RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CLOSING OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF POPLAR STREET IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows: WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, did on the 6th dap of August, 1928, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 581, declaring its intention to order the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said City, to -wit: That the following described por- tions of Poplar Street be closed and the lands included within the boun- daries of such portions as described, be abandoned. Section 1. Poplar Street between the northerly line of 13th Street and the southerly line of 19th Street, being a parcel of Iand 82.5 feet in width, lying easterly of, adjacent to, and contiguous with the easterly line of Block 434 and ex- tending from the northerly line of 13th Street to the southerly line of 19th Street;; said Block 434 is shown on "Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, California," filed in the office of the County Recorder of Kern Coun- ty, November 25th, 1898.
