IE-27-IOM KERN COUNTY LAND COMPANY (INCORPORATED/ BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA 1' ay 39 1928 Mr. James Ogden, City Managers Bakersfield Calif, Dear Sir: The California "Pater Service Company are contemplating the drilling of ulster wells on their location in. Block 293, this city. In order to keep as far as possible from the rpill pond and canal water way, it will. be necessary for them to drill their proposed wells north of the property they now ovum in this block. Since the alley through Block 293. has - no east outlet, but is abruptly ended by the mill pond, Mr. Dillon of the Water Serv' J.ce Company has requested us to ask you if it would be possible to have the alley in this block closed. This alley has never been used as a public thoroughfare and possibly never- will be. The Fern County Land Company owns all of the rest of the property in Block 293 and if it is in. accord with your best judgement that the alley be closed$ we hereby request that you have the City Engineer proceed with the necessary advertisement and.process to abandon and close this alley so that the California Water Service Company and the Kern County Land Company may complete arrangements that will facilitate a better domestic grater supply from this particular locality.
