A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING
THE TRANSFER OF UNCLAIMED
MONEY IN THE AMOUNT OF $84,293.51
FROM THE ESCHEAT TRUST ACCOUNT
TO THE GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, Section 50053 of the California Government Code requires a resolution
be adopted whenever unclaimed money of the City of Bakersfield is transferred to the
general fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield has money in escheat in amounts $15.01 and
greater that remain unclaimed for more than three years pursuant to Section 50050 of the
California Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield has money in escheat in amounts less than $15.00
that remain unclaimed for more than one year pursuant to Section 50055 of the California
Government Code; and
WHEREAS, a notice was advertised once each week for two successive weeks in the
Bakersfield Californian, a newspaper of general circulation on April 5 and April 12, 2022
pursuant to Section 50051 of the California Government Code; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by
reference.
2. The Finance Director is authorized to transfer the amounts set forth
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof of unclaimed
monies to the general fund.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the
Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
Jill 11 2022, by the following vote:
