A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CITIES TO BE
USED IN CONDUTING COMPARISON SURVEYS
OF EMPLOYEES' COMPENSATION
WHEREAS, The City has agreed to use a list of comparable cities to conduct
surveys of the base salary or total compensation it offers its employees as compared to
other cities in its labor market, to determine our competitive position; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the following cities are comparable to
the City of Bakersfield with adjustments to cost of living and are inclusive of our labor
market;
WHEREAS, the City wishes to adopt said cities when all such surveys are
conducted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
that the following cities be designated as Survey Cities for the purposes of comparing
competitive position for compensation:
1. Resolution No.198-91 is hereby superseded by this Resolution.
2. The cities listed shall constitute the Survey Cities for all unit employees in the
City, of Bakersfield, inclusive of represented employees.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
