A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DEDICATING PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY WITHIN
CITY PROPERTY FOR A PORTION OF OHIO DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield (City) owns property at the Southern most
corner of Ohio Drive in the City of Bakersfield, commonly known as Assessors Parcel
Numbers 169 - 070 - 15, for additional road right of way for Ohio Drive to provide
access to nearby residential properties; and
WHEREAS, said property was deeded to the City per document recorded
June 7, 2000 and is described in Grant Deed filed with the Kern County Recorder's
office as Document No. 0200071206; and
WHEREAS, the roadway is required to improve Ohio Drive for access to the
nearby residential properties located southeast of Ohio Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City proposes to dedicate the City property as a public
street ("Dedicated Property"); and
WHEREAS, said Dedicated Property is described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

follows:
1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct and are incorporated
herein by reference.
2. The City of Bakersfield hereby dedicates to the public a right-of-way
over the Dedicated Property as described in Exhibit "A" for use as a public street.

Beginning at a point on the East line of said Lot 6, distant Southerly thereon 1441,15 feet from the Northeast comer
of said Lot; thence from said point of beginning; (1)Northwesterly in a direct line to a point on the Southerly line of
the North 1341.15 feet of said Lot 6, distant Westerly along said Southerly line 256.15 feet from the East line of said
Lot, and being the Southeast corner of that certain Parcel of land known as Ohio Drive, as described in the deed to
the County of Kam, recorded March 8, 1940 in Book 919, Page 304 of Official Records; thence (2) Westerly along
the South line of said Parcel of land known as Ohio Drive, as described in said deed to the County of Kern, 60 feet,
to the Southwest corner thereof; thence (3) Southerly along the Southerly prolongation of the West line of said parcel
of land known as Ohio Drive, as described in said deed to the County of Kern, to a point thereon which is distant 60
feet Southwesterly, measured at right angles from the Northwesterly prolongation of the first course herein described;
thence (4) Southeasterly and parallel with the first course herein described, to a point on the east line of said Lot 6;
thence (5) North along the east line of said Lot 6, to the point of beginning, excepting therefrom an undivided 3/4th
interest in and to all oil and gas within or underlying said land, as excepted in deeds executed by Vito Giuntol), et al,
recorded August 25, 1944 in Book 1206, Page 119 and December 31, 1953 in Book 2168, Page 388, both of official
records.
