Ranger program already making an impact
The still growing Ranger program within the Recreation & Parks
Department is already making a positive impact in our parks.
Just this week Rangers on a routine patrol at Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr. Park discovered what appeared to be new construction wood on
the park property. Recognizing it may be from a nearby construction
site, Rangers contacted workers at the site and con rmed it did
indeed belong to the company and had been stolen recently.

The Rangers and the construction company worked together (below)
to return the materials, with an estimated value of more than
$1,000! Great work team!

associated with re protection efforts, life-saving equipment, and
training.” The grants do not impact customer rates, as they are
