Bakers eld Mobile now accepting graf ti reports in
County pockets
The City's popular Bakers eld Mobile app now accepts graf ti
removal service requests in unincorporated metro areas of the City!
That means locations that are in County pockets and around the
City's borders can be serviced by the City's Graf ti Abatement Team.
In the summer of 2022, the County of Kern approached the City
about expanding Bakers eld's Graf ti Abatement Team's response
area into unincorporated parts of the City, a re ection on the
effectiveness of the City's graf ti removal response.

On Jan. 11, 2023 an agreement was
approved by the City Council for delegated
graf ti removal in those unincorporated
areas that were previously not served by
the Graf ti Abatement Team. As part of the
agreement, the County will reimburse the
City up to $1.3 million each year over three
years. The City's team will respond to
locations in unincorporated metro areas,
but only within the borders of the public
street. The City's team will not respond to
reports on private property. Private
property owners in the unincorporated
metro area will still need to remove graf ti
from within their private property.
Graf ti removal service requests can be
submitted to the City through the
Bakers eld Mobile App. The app is free to
download and is available on Android and
Apple devices.

they do every day in the video below from the City's

homeless-related activities throughout the
City, making contact with individuals
experiencing homelessness, offering to connect them to services and
giving them notice before clearing out encampments.
The Rapid Response Team also helps enforce and clear properties
that are not maintained by owners.
Anyone who comes across encampments or building issues can
report them through the free Bakers eld Mobile app, available on
Android and Apple devices.
