CIF State Wrestling Championships return to
Bakers eld
Just as the blossoms on almond trees signal spring time in
Bakers eld, so does the arrival of thousands of high school wrestlers,
their coaches, families and friends from throughout California.
With the exception of 2021, the CIF Wrestling Championships have
been held at Bakers eld’s Mechanics Bank Arena each year since
2004. The CIF wrestling championships have been held in
Bakers eld for so long that Mechanics Bank Arena refers to itself as
“the home of high school wrestling.”

Up until 2019, the event only included the boys’ wrestling
championships. But beginning in 2019, the girls’ championships -
previously held in Visalia - were combined with the boys'
championships, turning the two-day Bakers eld event into a three-
day wrestling extravaganza.
This year's action started at Mechanics Bank Arena on Thursday,
Feb. 23. The weekend wraps up on Saturday with championship
nals beginning at 6:15 p.m. Click here for the complete schedule,
