HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 3376ORDINANCE NO. 3 3 7 ~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17.38 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO HOSPITAL (HOSP) ZONING. as SECTION 1. Chapter 17.38 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code amended to read as follows: BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield follows: is hereby Chapter 17.38 HOSPITAL (HOSP) ZONING Sections: 17.38.010 17.38.020 17.38.030 Generally. Uses permitted. Site plan review. 17.38.010 Generally. Land classified in R-i, R-2 and R-3 zones may also be classi- fied as a Hosp. zone and the restriction set out in this chapter shall apply in the Hosp. zone unless otherwise provided in this title. 17.38.020 Uses permitted. The following uses are permitted in a Hosp. zone: A. Any use permitted in the R-i, R-2 and R-3 zones in which the land is classified and when so used subject to all of the pro- visions contained in the sections defining the zone; B. Hospitals, sanitariums, rest homes, convalescent homes, maternity homes, and homes for the aged, except animal hospitals, clinics, hospitals or sanitariums for mental, drug or liquor addict cases; C. Height and yard requirements shall be the same as the other zone in which the land is classified; Do 17.58. Parking requirements shall be as set forth in Section E. Hospital uses and related development proposed adjacent to property zoned or designated for residential development shall be required to be separated by a solid masonry wall constructed at a minimum height of six (6) feet from highest grade. This require- ment shall not apply along any street frontage. Any wall located within the front yard area shall not exceed a height of four (4) feet. 17.38.030 Site plan review. Proposed improvements and the enlargement, reconstruction or renovation of improvements on property in this zone shall be sub- ject to prior site plan review and approval pursuant to Chapter 17.53. SECTION 2.
