SUMMARY OF DUTIES
A summary of the duties and responsibilities for the position of Civil Engineer III Is as follows: Under direction,

regulations or participates in and is in charge of varied and difficult professional engineering work of the
more advanced level including research and design of engineering projects; and performs other work as
required.
A summary of the duties and responsibilities for the position of Senior Electrical Technician is as follows: Under
limited supervision, performs a variety of technical and highly complex electrical duties in the planning and
drafting of designs for the construction, maintenance and alterations of electrical systems and equipment
for various City facilities. Provides oversight, guidance and direction for the design, review and
implementation of electrical system improvement projects. Organizes, prioritizes and monitors field
assignments, and provides direction to staff pertaining to the installation, maintenance and repair of
electrical systems and performs other duties as required.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of highly technical and complex skilled
journey -level accounting duties In support of citywide payroll and employee benefit
administration; conducts extensive research and interprets various regulatory and
policy guidelines related to payroll processing and reporting; reviews and responds to
audit requests; advises and trains on accurate payroll procedures; processes payroll;
maintains records; may have lead duties; and performs special projects or other duties
as assigned.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

Essential Duties:
• Oversees, plans, and performs the activities and operations of the Citywide
payroll function and processing;
• Ensures that payroll is prepared and processed in a timely manner and in
compliance with federal, state, and local policies, procedures, regulations, and
City memoranda of understanding (MOUs);
• Troubleshoots, tests, and recommends modifications to the Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERR) system; • Prepares, reviews, and may approve technical reports to meet external

duties; training, assigning and monitoring payroll processing duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
