AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTIONS
17.04.165, 17.04.505 AND 17.04.537
TO THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO CHURCH (CH) ZONES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Sections 17.04.165, 17.04.505 and 17.04.537 are hereby
added to the Bakersfield Municipal Code to read as follows:
17.04.165 Day care center.
"Day care center" means a child day care facility other
than a small or large day care home, and includes infant centers,
preschools and extended day care facilities.
17.04.505 Sanctuary.
"Sanctuary" means a religious building or room in which
general worship services are held.
17.04.537 School, Sunday.
"Sunday School" means a school held for purposes of
religious education.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
Bakersfield Municipal Code provisions and shall become effective
thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage.
