AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 4.04.040 AND
SECTION 4.04.060 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO WARD BOUNDARIES (WARDS 1,4,
6 AND 7).
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield adopted Resolution
Nos. 103-91 (Wible No. 7 Annexation), 102-91 (Hosking No. 1 Annexation), 135-91
(Oakhaven No. 1 Annexation), 154-91 (Stine No. 7 Annexation), 151-91 (Hosking No. 2
Annexation), 152-91 (Hosking No. 3 Annexation), 172-91 (Buena Vista No. 4
Annexation), 179-91 (Wible No. 8 Annexation), 182-91 (Mr. Vernon No. 5 Annexation),
195-91 (Wilson No. 4 Annexation), 196-91 (Wible No. 9 Annexation), 197-91 (Wible No.
10 Annexation), and 211-91 (Xenfro No. 2 Annexation), ordering the territory annexed
to the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield
requires to be within a Councilmanic Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the Council recently completed annexation of the territory to
the City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in Exhibits
A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L, ant M of the attached hereto and incorporated as though fully
set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be
true and correct.
SECTION 2.
Legal description of Ward 6:
Section 1.12.060 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
1.12.060 Boundaries of the Sixth Ward. The boundaries of the Sixth
Ward are hereby amended to read as follows:
All that part of the City ok Bakersfield beginning at the intersection
of the center line of Ming Avenue and the center line of Hughes Lane,
said intersection being the north quarter corner oC Section 12,

SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described
territoN to the City of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the
date of its passage.
