STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends discussion and review of the school supply event
BACKGROUND:
On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the Applecore Project director contacted Youth Commissioner
Pursel to discuss the possibility of the Youth Commission assisting with the dissemination of
school supplies collected from the Youth Commission drive held in March 2023 at the Haggin
Oaks Farmers Market to students at Roman Garza Elementary School in east Bakersfield.
