HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 075-2023RESOLUTION NO. 0 7 5- 20 2 3 RESOLUTION ADOPTING FISCAL YEAR 2023/2024 SEWER AND STORM SEWER USER RATES WHEREAS, Chapter 14.12 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code authorizes the City Council of the City of Bakersfield (City) to establish fees and charges to recover costs for services rendered; and WHEREAS, the adoption of sewer fees is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under the California Public Resources Code Section 21080(b)(8); and WHEREAS, the adoption of sewer fees complies with Proposition 26 and Proposition 218; and WHEREAS, Exhibit "A" summarizes both residential and commercial fees proposed for Fiscal Year 2023/2024 including flat rate fees (collected on property tax bill), commercial surcharge fees, and sewer fees for commercial and industrial users that do not fall into existing strength categories including Permitted Industrial Users. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. The above recitals and findings are true and correct and are incorporated herein by reference. 2. The Council adopts fees established in Exhibit "A". 3.
