Department Budget Presentation Meeting
REGULAR MEETING -12:00 PM

Present: Mayor Goh, Vice -Mayor Gonzales, Councilmembers
Smith, Freeman, and Gray
Absent: Councilmembers Arias, Weir, and Kaur

a. Fiscal Year 2023-24 Department Budget Presentations - Budget
Workshop No. 2:
l . Fire Department
Chief Frando, made staff comments and provided a
PowerPoint presentation.
Mayor Goh recessed the meeting at 1:37 p.m. and reconvened the
meeting at 1:47 p.m.
2. Recreation and Parks Department
Recreation and Parks Director Anthony made staff
comments and provided a PowerPoint presentation.
Councilmember Smith requested staff explore imminent domain
opportunities for health and safety problems of chronic nuisance
properties.

Water Resources Director Maldonado made staff comments
and provided a PowerPoint presentation.

Public Works Director Strakaluse made staff comments and
provided a PowerPoint presentation.
5. Development Services Department
Development Services Director Boyle made staff comments
and provided a PowerPoint presentation.
Mayor Goh recessed the meeting at 3:24 p.m. and reconvened the
meeting at 3:32 p.m.
6. Economic and Community Development
Economic and Development Assistant Director Byers made
staff comments and provided a PowerPoint presentation.
Motion by Vice Mayor Gonzales to receive and file budget presentations.
Motion was approved with Councilmembers Arias, Weir and Kaur absent.
Councilmember Smith requested staff map the nuisance propert
ies.
Councilmember Freeman requested staff re-examine wall and fence
heights along the backup to public streets.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Goh adjourned the me Ling at 4:25 .m.
