AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1.12.010 AND
1.12.060 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO WARD BOUNDARIES.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield adopted Resolution No.
34-93 (Stine No. 9 Annexation) on March 24, 1993, and adopted Resolution No. 42-93
(Brundage No. 4 Annexation) on April 14, 1993, ordering the territory annexed to the
City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield
is required to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the Council recently completed annexation of the territory to
the City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in Exhibit "A"
and as shown in Exhibit "B" for STINE NO. 9 ANNEXATION and described in Exhibit
"C" and shown in Exhibit "D" for Brundage No. 4 Annexation attached hereto and
incorporated as though fully set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Brundage No. 4 Annexation shall be included in Ward 1.
Stine No. 9 Annexation shall be included in Ward 6.
Section 3.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described
territory to the City of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the
date of its passage.

A parcel of land situated in the South 1/2 of Section 33, Township
29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.M., County of Kern, State of
California, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the west 1/4 corner of said Section 33; Thence North
89'29'40" East along the mid-section line of said section, a
distance of 1162.19 feet to a point on the easterly right of way
line of the Southern pacific Railroad, Asphalto Branch, said point
being on a non-tangent curve, concave northwesterly, with a radius
of 11,429.954 feet and a radial bearing of North 64'35'20" West;
THENCE Southwesterly, along said right of way curve, through a
