Road, Mohawk Road, McDonald Way, or
Belle Terrace. Access to properties and
businesses at the intersection will remain open during this time, but
motorists are advised to delay travel until 9 a.m. on this day.
After reopening the intersection, construction will continue west in
two westbound lanes (closed) with one westbound lane open. When
reaching Ashe Road, the intersection of Ashe Road will be closed for
approximately 2 ½ hours. During this time, all eastbound travel lanes
east of Ashe Road will remain open for property owner egress on
Stockdale Highway through New Stine Road and beyond.
Westbound traf c east of Ashe will be detoured for the 2 ½ hours
the intersection of Ashe is closed. Emergency vehicles will be able to
access all properties at all times.
On Sunday November 12, 2023, construction will continue on
Stockdale Highway from Ashe Road to Gosford Road, with
temporary lane closures throughout the day. The intersection at
Gosford Road will be closed on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from
6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Upon completion of the intersection work,
Stockdale Highway from Gosford Road to Ashe Road will be open to
through traf c, but restricted to one travel lane in either direction.
Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times;
however motorists are strongly encouraged to detour east/west on
Truxtun Avenue or Ming Avenue, and north/south on Calloway Drive
and Ashe Road or California Avenue/New Stine Road.
Detours will be placed at the nearest arterial street approaching
these closures. Flaggers will be positioned at each closure to allow
local traf c to access residences and businesses in the surrounding
area. This will result in traf c delays, so motorists are advised to take
caution, and to take alternate routes or allow for extra travel time
through this area.
The City thanks the public for their patience during the construction
of these improvements.
