A RESOLUTION TO HOLD AN ANNUAL MEETING WITH
THE BAKERSFIELD CITY COUNCIL AND KERN COUNTY
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS.
WHEREAS, the City Council is the governing body which oversees the operation
of the City of Bakersfield: and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is the governing body which oversees the
operation of the County of Kern; and
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield City Council and the Kern County Board of Supervisors
deal with similar issues to benefit a controlled operation of each agency; and
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield City Council desires to review and discuss the past
year's successes in order to determine which issues both agencies have in common which
need to be addressed in the year forthcoming; and
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield City Council foresees a common ground and agreement
with the Kern County Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield City Council desires to hold a Special Meeting with the
Kern County Board of Supervisors, to be held annually, to discuss each year's issues; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The above recitals and findings are true and correct.
The Bakersfield City Council invites the Kern County Board of Supervisors,
as guests of the City of Bakersfield, to a combined Special Meeting on
September 13, 1999.

The Bakersfield City Council will strive to meet with the Kern County Board
of Supervisors on an annual basis on or around said date as mentioned
above.
