AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO RESOLUTION 144-19 APPROVING THE MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING "MOU" SETTING SALARIES AND RELATED BENEFITS FOR THE
EMPLOYEES OF THE BAKERSFIELD POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 144-19 sets salaries and related benefits for
employees of the Police Units.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
that:
1. Effective immediately, Section 7.03.00 attached to Resolution No.
144-19(1), titled "Other Compensation" is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 7.03.03 Retention Incentive
Effective January 29, 2024, members represented under the agreement,
hired into the unit on or after 1 /1 /2011, will receive a $200.00 retention
incentive paid bi-weekly ($5,200 annually) commencing the beginning of
their sixth (6th) year from appointment to sworn service. Incentive is not
payable if no earnings in a pay period. Retention incentive is not
reportable compensation. Prior service or academy time does not count
towards eligibility periods.
2. Except as amended herein, all other provisions of Resolution No.
144-19, together with amendatory resolutions, remain in full force and effect.
