1. ROLL CALL
Commissioners Present: Bell, Tarango (A), Resolme, Taft (A), Simpson, Pursel A),
Beardsley (seated at 4:32 p.m.), Kakarla, Brar (A),
Webster, Batth (seated at 4:45 p.m.), Tran (A) (seated
at 4:40 p.m.)
Commissioners Absent: Vargas (A), Garcia
2. PUBLIC STATEMENTS
a. Agenda Item Public Statements - None
b. Non-Agenda Item Public Statements - None
3. SUMMARY REPORT
a. Adoption of the October 10, 2022, Youth Commission minutes
Motion to approve the minutes from the October 70, 2022, meeting by
Commissioner Resolme and seconded by Commissioner Tarango. Motion
unanimously approved.
4. NEW BUSINESS
a. Youth Commission subcommittee presentations, discussion, and vote
concerning the annual project topics under consideration for
FY 2022-2023
Presentations were given and each group answered questions about their
proposed project. Presentations were made in the following order:
Extracurricular Activities for Our Youth, by Commissioners Bell, Kakarla,
Tarango, Batth, and Garcia.
4. NEW BUSINESS continued
JJ's Legacy, by Commissioners Beardsley, Webster, and Brar
Student-Driver Safety Project, by Commissioners Taft, Simpson, and Tran
Motion to move the last presentation for the next meeting by
Commissioner Resolme seconded by Commissioner Beardsley. Motion
unanimously approved.
5. STAFF COMMENTS
Management Assistant Gutierrez stated he enjoyed the presentations and is
looking forward to hearing the last one.
Associate Attorney Villanueva suggested update regular Commissioners who
were absent on the presentations that were given, so that all Commissioners
would be informed and ready to vote.
