RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE SALE OF SURPLUS VEHICLES TO
KERN HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT'S REGIONAL OCCUPATION
CENTER AND CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION CENTER,
A NON- PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOR ONE DOLLAR ($1.00)
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield possesses two (2) surplus end -of -life police
vehicles which are no longer serviceable for the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, Kern High School District's Regional Occupational Center (ROC)
and Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC), a non-profit organization,
desires to receive the surplus end -of -life police vehicles at a cost of one dollar
($1.00); and
WHEREAS, the City Council must confirm and approve the sale of any
surplus equipment to a non-profit organization in accordance with Bakersfield
Municipal Code section 3.20.120(F).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein
by reference.
2. The City Council authorizes the Finance Director to sell two (2) surplus
end -of -life police vehicles Kern High School District's ROC and CTEC
for one dollar ($1.00) .
