ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION 1.12.020, 1.12.040 AND SECTION 1.12.070 BY ADDING
ANNEXATION NOS. 427 AND A PORTION OF 433 TO WARD 4,
AND ANNEXATION NOS. 429 TO WARD 7 AND A PORTION OF
ANNEXATION NO. 433 TO WARD 2.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) adopted a resolution
for Annexation Nos. 427,429 AND 433 recently ordering the territories annexed to the City of
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is required
to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCO recently completed the annexations for the territory to the
City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in the attached Exhibit "A" for
ANNEXATION NOS. 427,429 and 433 and shown in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and incorporated
as though fully set forth herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
A portion of Annexation 433 shall be included in Ward 2.
Section 3.
Annexation No. 427 and a portion 433 shall be included in Ward 4.
Section 4.
Annexation No. 429 shall be included in Ward 7.
Section 5.
Section 1.12.040 and Section 1.12.070 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is
hereby amended by adding thereto the legal description set forth in Exhibit "A".
Section 6.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal
Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the
City of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage.

ANNEXATION NO. 427
That parcel of land being a portion of Section 12, Township 29 South, Range 26 East, M.D.M.,
County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the west 1/4 comer of said Section 12, also being the point of intersection of the
center lines of Allen Road (Co. Rd. No. 67) and Olive Drive (Co. Rd. No. 67 & 843), said point
being a monumented 1/4 comer and calculated to be 2,341,021.367 feet North and 6,220,367.014
feet East per California Coordinate System (N.A.D. 83), Zone 5;
Thence S 00° 44' 23" W, along the west line of said Section 1.2, a distance of 680.00 feet to
intersect the south boundary line of Tract No. 5831- Unit 1 per map filed in Book 45 of Maps,
Page 117, in the Office of the Kern County Recorder;
Thence S 89° 18' 22" E, along said south boundary line, 51.04 feet to intersect the east line of the
additional right of way for Allen Road per said Tract No. 5831 - Unit 1, said point also being on
the boundary line of"Area 1" of proposed Annexation No. 425 (to the City of Bakersfield) and is
the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;

A parcel of land being a portion of the southeast 1/4 of Section 1, Township 30 South, Range 27
East, M.D.M., County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast comer of said Section 1 being a monumented comer at the point of
intersection of the center lines of Ming Avenue and South "H" Street, said section comer also
being calculated as 2,311,404.472 feet North and 6,257,098.888 feet East per California
Coordinate System (N.A.D. 83), Zone 5;
Thence N 89° 54' 08" W, along the south line of Said Section 1, a distance of 1986.15 feet to
intersect the southerly prolongation of the west right of way line of the 20 foot wide alley on the
west boundary line of Tract No. t635 per map filed for record in Book 8 of Maps, Page 14 in the
Office of the Kern County Recorder;
Thence N 00° 07' 52" E, along said prolongation line, 30.00 feet to intersect the north right of
