AN ORDINANCE ADDING THE GREENLAWN CEMETERY
ANNEXATION TO WARD 2.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield adopted Resolution No.
60-97 (Greenlawn Cemetery Annexation) on April 9, 1997, ordering the territory
annexed to the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield
is required to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the Council recently completed annexation of the territory to
the City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in Exhibit "A" and
as shown in Exhibit "B" for GREENLAWN CEMETERY ANNEXATION attached hereto
and incorporated as though fully set forth herein. The Ward Boundary descriptions as
described in Exhibit "C", shall be amended to reflect the above, as attached hereto and
incorporated as though fully set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Greenlawn Cemetery Annexation shall be included in Ward 2.
Section 3.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described
territory to the City of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the
date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on

ANNEXATION NO. 391
A portion of the west half of Section 19 and the east half of Section 17 in Township 29 South, Range
28 East, M.D.M., County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the east I/4 corner of said Section 17, as monumented by a 6 inch concrete
monument in a lamphole and designated as 695,998.099 feet North, 1,706,636.503 feet East per the
California Coordinate System, Zone 5;
Thence North 89° 51' 38" East, along the mid-section line of said Section 16, a distance of 55.00 feet
to a point on the northerly prolongation of the east right of way line of River Boulevard (Co. Rd. No.
2219);
Thence South 00° 23' 06" East, along said prolongation line, 40.17 feet to the point of intersection
of the easterly prolongation of the south right of way line of Acacia Avenue (Co. Rd. No. 731 and
1485) and the existing corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield, also being the TRUE POIlqT
OF BEGINNING;
Thence (1) departing from said corporate boundary, North 89° 57' 3 I" West, along said prolongation
line and right of way line, 1,372.97 feet to a point on the southerly prolongation of the west line of
the southeast 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of said Section 17;
Thence (2) North 00° 32' 26" West, along said prolongation line and west line, 1,383.66 feet to the

second ward are amended to read as follows:
All that part of the city of Bakersfield beginning at the intersection of the
centerline of California Avenue with the centerline of Oak Street;
Thence easterly along the centerline of California Avenue to intersect the
northerly prolongation of the centerline of Pine Street;
Thence northerly along the northerly prolongation of the centerline of Pine
Street and the centerline of Truxtun Avenue;
Thence westerly along the centerline of Truxtun Avenue to the centerline of
Myrtle Street;
Thence northerly along the centerline of Myrtle Street to the centerline of
24th Street;
Thence westerly along the centerline of 24th Street to intersect the southerly
prolongation of the centerline of the north-south twenty foot alley adjacent
