A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT UNANTICIPATED
REPAIRS FOR GREEN WASTE TUB GRINDER
CANNOT BE REASONABLY OBTAINED
THROUGH USUAL BIDDING PROCEDURES AND AUTHORIZING
THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH BIDDING
THEREFORE, NOT TO EXCEED $55,000
WHEREAS, the City is in need of immediate repairs to the Green Waste Tub
Grinder Caterpillar engine; and
WHEREAS, there is only one local authorized dealer for repairs to Caterpillar
Equipment, Quinn Engine Systems; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has recommended that
this Council find, that engine repairs for this tub grinder can only be obtained through
one vendor (Quinn Engine Systems) and has recommended that this Council authorize
dispensing with bidding therefore in accordance with subsection D.2 of Section
3.20.060 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
