AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.20.126 OF
CHAPTER 3.20 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO LEASE OF SPACES IN CITY-OWNED
PARKING FACILITIES, OF CITY-OWNED DOWNTOWN
BUSINESS PROPERTIES AND OF CITY-OWNED
PROPERTY AT THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Subsection C. is hereby added to Section 3.20.126 of the Bakersfield Municipal
Code to read as follows:
The city manager or his designee is authorized on behalf of the city to approve and
execute agreements which have been approved as to form by the city attorney for the
rooftop area of the city-owned parking structure located at the northwest corner of 18th
and Eye Streets. The city manager or his designee shall establish the terms and
conditions of such agreements, except that fire marshal or his designee shall set a
maximum number of people which will be permitted to occupy the rooftop area, and such
number shall be reflected on any application for rental, and the rental fee shall be set by
a resolution of the City Council.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provisions of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after the date of its
passage.
