NOTICE OF RIGHT TO APPEAL
Any person may appeal a decision of the Board of Zoning Adjustment. The appeal must be filed in
writing within 10 days from date of the Board's hearing with the City Council, c/o City Clerk; 1501
Truxtun Avenue; Bakersfield, CA 93301. Appellants, except those within the public notice area,
must include a $334 non-refundable filing fee with the appeal. If all appeals are withdrawn before
the City Council's meeting, they will not hear the item and the Board's decision will become final.
The City will not issue any permit, license or other approval for a use involved in an application
until after the appeal period has closed. If the City Clerk does not receive an appeal within the 10-
day period, the Board's decision will become final.

matter not on this agenda and over which the Board has jurisdiction. Please state your

FILE NO. 02-1184 - TYLER ANDERSON has requested a
Conditional Use Permit to allow a rental car business within an
existing office building in a C-O (Commercial Office) zone district
located at 230 Truxtun Avenue.
Staff Recommendation:

FILE NO. 02-1191 - CINDI GALFIN has requested a Conditional
Use Permit to allow an expansion of an existing auto dismantling
and storage yard in an M-1 (Light Manufacturing) and M-2
(General Manufacturing) zone district located at 5311 S. Union
Avenue. The applicant plans to expand the existing use onto 3.7
acres of adjacent land to the south.

FILE NO. 02-1198 - Ken McCoy has requested a Conditional Use
Permit to allow a 6,319 square foot metal warehouse building and
a modification to allow a reduction in the street side yard setback
adjacent to the parking lot form 10 feet required to 0 feet proposed
in a C-2 (Regional Commercial) zone district located at 2801 K
Street. The warehouse building will be split into two equal parts
with a restroom and office for each half.
