Free Independence Day reworks show set for Park at
River Walk
You are invited to head to the Park at River Walk this Independence
Day for the City's annual free reworks show on Thursday, July 4,
2024.
The reworks show is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. with DJ
Pantomime providing music beforehand, starting at 6 p.m.

Zambelli Fireworks will produce the
reworks show, which this year is made
possible thanks to the Mechanics Bank
Arena, Theater and Convention Center and
the City of Bakers eld.
This year a beer garden will be set up in the
park just east of the Dignity Health
Amphitheatre. No outside alcoholic
beverages will be permitted in the park, as
per park rules. Alcohol may be purchased
and consumed only in the beer garden.
Cold water and other beverages will also
be available at the beer garden.
Traf c closures in the area are set to begin
at 8 p.m.

City celebrates #WasteAndRecyclingWorkers
During the week of June 17, the City and the nation celebrated
Waste and Recycling Workers Week, a chance to recognize the men
and women who wake up early the in the morning, going home to
home to clear out trash and recycling.
The week including Global Garbage Man Day on Monday, June 17.
While this week was dedicated to our waste, recycling and garbage
workers, the City celebrates their dedication and hard work EVERY
day.
To all of them, we simply say, "Thank you."

Let's make some noise! Former Condors take aim at
Stanley Cup
The Stanley Cup Finals are underway as the Edmonton Oilers battle
the Florida Panthers for hockey's biggest prize.
On the ice for the Oilers are a number of players who spent time
right here in Condors Town.
The Bakers eld Condors are the American Hockey League af liate
for the Edmonton Oilers. AHL players are just one step away from
the National Hockey League and nearly a dozen players on the Oilers
roster previously played for the Condors.
The Oilers trail the Panthers in the best-of-7 series, 3-2. Game 6 is
scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday with Game 7 set for Monday, if necessary.

City's spray parks are open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, Tuesday through Sunday
through Labor Day on Sept. 2.
