Trash, recycling services pushed back a day due to
holiday
Due to the Independence Day holiday, all
trash and recycling services have been
pushed back one day.
If your normal pickup day is Thursday, you
will have service Friday. For those with

normal service on Friday, your trash and/or recycling will be picked
up on Saturday.
Service will return to normal on Monday, July 8.

Bakers eld Fire shares tips to stay safe during hot
temperatures
With temperatures on the rise and a heat wave potentially lasting
through the middle of July, the Bakers eld Fire Department is
sharing some tips from the National Weather Service to stay safe.
Bakers eld Fire urges residents to report illegal
reworks
The Independence Day holiday has passed and the window to legally
light Safe & Sane reworks has closed.

But the Bakers eld Fire Department is calling on the community to
report illegal reworks or reworks that are still being lit.
Earlier this week Bakers eld Fire held a press conference at Station
1 to stress the importance for the community not to use illegal
reworks and for them to be reported.
Anyone wanting to report illegal reworks can visit
YouLightItWeWriteIt.com or use the City's mobile app.

Condors' 2023-'24 season recognized by American
Hockey League
The Bakers eld Condors continue to be a
draw locally and are getting recognized
nationally by peer organizations.
The Condors were recently recognized at
the 2024 American Hockey League Team
Business Meetings in Chicago.
During the 2023-2024 season, the
Condors averaged 4,871 fans per game at Mechanics Bank Arena,
the highest average attendance for the team since 2015-2016, the
team's rst year in the American Hockey League.

Some of the biggest crowds during the season included:
Teddy Bear Toss, 8,994 fans
Field Trip Day, 8,533 fans
Fan Appreciation Night, 8,017 fans
AHL rst-round playoff game, 6,609 fans
Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Ryan Holt, was
named a nalist for the Ken McKenzie Award, presented to an AHL
executive who most successfully promotes his or her club.

Rec. & Parks provides more cooling options with spray
parks
City's spray parks are open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, Tuesday through Sunday
through Labor Day on Sept. 2.
