PUBLIC STATEMENTS No one made any public statements at this time. Chairman read the notice of right to appeal as set forth on the agenda. CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion was made by Commissioner Andrew, seconded by Commissioner Hersh to approve minutes of the regular meetings held April 7, April 21, May .2, May 5, May 19, 1994. Motion carried. Minutes, PC, 6/13/94 la) Page 2 PUBLIC HEARINGS - GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS 2-94, SEGMENT 5.2 5.3 a,b,c III AND ZC #5560 Request for continuance to the next general plan cycle was received. Motion was made by Commissioner Andrew, seconded by Commissioner Hersh to continue these items to the next general plan cycle in September 1994. Motion carried. PUBLIC HEARINGS - GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS 2-94, SEGMENT IV Staff report recommending denial was given. Responding to questions by Commissioner Brady, Mr. Kloepper said he felt there would be a change in the assessment district and would check to see if he was within that district for purposes of determining a possible conflict of interest. Mr. Dole responded to question by Commissioner Hersh saying the reason for staff's recommendation of denial would be the decrease in land available for multiple family housing in. the southwest and is not consistent with the housing element. Mr. Gauthier said he would provide a map at the Thursday hearing which would provide visual information regarding multi-family zoned land in the area. PUBLIC HEARINGS - GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS 2-94, SEGMENT V AND ZC #5566 Staff report recommending denial was given. Commissioner Messner asked if the noise would cause adverse circumstances; Mr. Dole said the specific plan for this site was adopted with a 60 CNEL noise contour Commissioner Brady asked if a representative from the airpark could be present at the Thursday hearing to answer questions regarding present and future plans and type of aircraft. Mr. Kloepper said the airpark advisory committee planned to attend the meeting. Regarding possible future expansion, Mr. Kloepper said the city is not in an expansion mode at this time. Chairman Messner continued this item to the Thursday hearing. Minutes, PC, 6/13/94 Page 3 5.4 a&b PUBLIC HEARINGS - GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS 2-94, SEGMENT VI AND ZC #5567 Commissioners Boyle, Brady, Andrew and Marino abstained beCause of conflicts of interest. 5.5 a&b Staff report recommending approval was given. This item was continued to the Thursday hearing. PUBLIC HEARINGS - GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS 2-94, SEGMENT a&b 5¸.8 :a&b VII AND ZC #5563 Commissioner Andrew abstained because of a conflict of interest in that he is representing the property owner in the escrow process. Commissioner Powers abstained because of a conflict of interest in that the applicant is related to him. ' Staff report recommending approval was given. Mr. Hardisty said the issue of zoning on this property would be resolved' on the previous Wednesday at the City Council level.
