RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT SEWER CHARGES BY THE KERN COUNTY AUDITOR - CONTROLLER'S OFFICE RECITALS WHEREAS, Chapter 14.12 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code provides for the billing of sewer user fees; and WHEREAS, said prorated sewer user fees for new customers and customers that are not billed through Kern County property tax roll billing are billed by the City of Bakersfield Finance Department; and WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield has been unable to collect on certain delinquent accounts as shown in attached Exhibits A and B. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. The above recitals and findings are true and correct and are incorporated herein by reference. 2. The Council of the City of Bakersfield transfers the function of collection of delinquent sewer user charges, to the Kern County tax Collector pursuant to Chapter 14.12 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code to be billed at the time of billing of property taxes.
