Home My WebLink AboutRES NO 087-2024RESOLUTION NO. 0 8 7" 2 0 2 4 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT REFUSE CHARGES BY THE KERN COUNTY AUDITOR -CONTROLLER'S OFFICE. WHEREAS, Chapter 8.32 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code provides for the billing of refuse service fees; and WHEREAS, said refuse services and special charges are billed by the City of Bakersfield Finance Department; and WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield has been unable to collect on certain delinquent accounts as shown in attached Exhibit A. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. The above recitals and findings are true and correct and are incorporated herein by reference. 2. The Council of the City of Bakersfield transfers the function of collection of delinquent special refuse charges as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto, to the Kern County Tax Collector pursuant to Chapter 8.32 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code to be billed at the time of billing of property taxes.
