RESOLUTION ~O.
A RESOLUTION DECLARING REAL
PROPERTYSURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF
THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City acquired the parcel located on the southeast corner of 19th
and K Streets for land banking purposes to induce private-sector development and tax
base growth; and,
WHEREAS, a private-sector developer wishes to construct a 15-16 million dollar
taxable development on that property; and,
WHEREAS, on February 6, 1997 the Planning Commission found the sale of this
property to be consistent with the Metropolitan Bakersfield 2010 General Plan pursuant
to Government Code Section 65402.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The foregoing findings and recitals are true, correct and incorporated herein.
Real property located on the southeast corner of 19th and K Streets (paved
parking lot) is hereby declared surplus and the Finance Director is
authorized to complete its sale for full appraised value as per the agreement
to be approved by Council. The real property is more fully described on the
map attached hereto as Exhibit "A."

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the
Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
