NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p .m., or as
soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, on THURSDAY, JANUARY 16, 2025, in the Council
Chambers of City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA, to consider the following:
Conditional Use Permit 24-0082. Brian Grant, representing James Nickel (property
owner), is requesting a conditional use permit to build a new single-family residence
which will replace an existing single-family residence (Section 17.24.040) on an
88.65-acres parcel zoned C-2/PCD (Regional Commercial/Planned Commercial
Development), located northwest of Ran c heria Road and Highway 178. Notic e of
Exemption is on fi le. (Ward 3)
All written comments must be received by the Planning Division , located at 1715 Chester
Avenue, Bakersfield CA, on or before the public hearing date/time indicated above. You may
review and/or obtain copies of all public documents at th e Planning Division. If you challenge
the action taken on a specific project in court, you may be limited to addressing only those
issues raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the City of
Bakersfield .
