Materials and firestop systems used to protect membrane and through penetrations in fire-resistance-rated construction and construction installed to resist the passage of smoke shall be maintained. The materials and firestop systems shall be securely attached to or bonded to the construction being penetrated with no openings visible through or into the cavity of the construction. Where the system design number is known, the system shall be inspected to the listing criteria and manufacturer’s installation instructions. The following are outstanding and must be corrected within 30 days. 1. A licensed contractor must obtained an Above Ground Storage Tank (AST) permit with the Bakersfield Fire Department. 2. A Carbon Dioxide CO2 detector/monitor with a horn strobe must be installed near the CO2. 3. Report the CO2 in the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS). 4. Replace missing ceiling tiles throughout the building. 5. Remove the extension cord in the office. All electrical must be connected directly to an electrical outlet. 6.
