NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m., or as
soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, on THURSDAY, MARCH 20, 2025, in the Council
Chambers of City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA, to consider the following:
General Plan Amendment/Zone Change No. 24-0372 (Ward 7). LAV //Pinnacle Consulting &
Engineering (applicant), on behalf of the Giminiani Fred Living Trust (property owner), is
proposing a General Plan Amendment (GPA) and Zone Change (ZC) on approximately 2.63
acres generally located on the northwest corner of Taft Highway and Michele Street. The
request includes: ( 1) an amendment of the Land Use Element of the Metropolitan Bakersfield
General Plan land use designation from GC (General Commercial) and SR (Suburban
Residential) to GC (General Commercial); and (2) a change in zone class ification from C-2
(Regional Commercial) and A (Agricultural) to C-2 (Regional Commercial). A Mitigated
Negative Declaration will also be considered.
All written comments must be received by the Bakersfield Planning Department, 1715 Chester
Avenue, Bakersfield; 661-326-3733 on or before the public hearing date/time indicated above.
You may review and/or obtain copies of all public documents at the Planning Department. If
you challenge the action taken on a specific project in court, you may be limited to addressing
only those issues raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the City
of Bakersfield.
