I am writing to explain the situation that occurred at my gas station involving the underground storage tanks (UST) and the leak detection sensors. During this event I was not in town, I had an assistant manager that took care of my site in my absence. I do not know exactly what events conspired that led to such a massive error and I can’t apologize enough for the violation that occurred. I tried my best to get as much information as possible but my employees were not cooperating and a few days later my assistant manager resigned and no longer attended my calls. The only information I was able to gather is that they asked a handy man that stood in the home depot parking lot to remove the water. The number I was able to track down is (209)790-6564. I am truly very sorry that this incident occurred. In light of this incident, I have taken substantial steps to prevent any recurrence I have removed, replaced, and retrained my staff in proper protocol. I replaced the old lids with new Fiberlite ones, and since then, I have not experienced any further issues with rainwater intrusion. I appreciate your understanding and support as I navigate these challenges. I apologize again and assure you I am committed to making sure something like this does not happen at my site again. Sincerely, Jaswant Jaswant Brar Owner Arco AmPm 4203 Ming Ave Bakersfield Ca, 93309 4203ming@gmail.com (510)861-0045 03/07/2025 To Whom It May Concern, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to address a concern regarding the missing DO inspection reports for January 2022, December 2022, and January 2023 at our gas station. We have been contracted with Confidence UST to conduct all necessary testing and inspections from 2021 through 2023. I can confirm that inspections for the months in question were performed, and we keep a compliance binder in our back office to store all monthly inspection reports. Despite my attempts to retrieve the specified reports from Confidence UST, I have been unable to obtain them. I must admit that I am unsure why they were not filed properly. I am usually out of town during the holiday season so all I can assume is that the tech didn’t access the office and left the report either upfront and they were misplaced. Since I took over management, I have dedicated efforts to rectify many missing reports left by the previous manager, and I have successfully located numerous documents. However, these three reports remain elusive. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you could provide in determining whether these inspections might be filed anywhere with your department or the state. If there are additional steps I should take to resolve this matter, please let me know. Thank you for your understanding and support. Sincerely, Jaswant Brar
