A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING COLLECTION OF
ASSESSMENTS FOR DISTRICT NO. 96-1 (BRIMHALL III
SPRING MEADOWS/FAIRWAYS/CAMPUS PARK) BY
THE KERN COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield has passed Resolution No.
128-96 levying assessment for Assessment District 96-1 in the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, Section 8680 of the California Streets and Highways Code
requires that the annual proportion of each assessment coming due in any year, together
with the annual interest on the assessment, shall be payable in the same manner and at
the same time and in the same installments as the general taxes of the City on real
property are payable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
1. The above recitals are found to be true and correct.
2. The Tax Collector of the County of Kern, and such other County
officers as may be required, are hereby authorized to place the above-mentioned
assessments on the secured roll of the County and collect such assessments in the same
manner as ad valorem property taxes. The City Council does hereby certify that the
assessments being placed on the tax roll are exempted from the provisions of Article XIII D
of the California Constitution pursuant to Section 5 (b) and (c) thereof.
3. The City Clerk shall transmit said assessments to the Director of
Finance with instructions to submit same to the Kern County Auditor-Controller and Tax
Collector.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted
by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
