BACKGROUND: The council has requested that presentation on City's recent and future hardscaping beatification projects along our major highways and corridors. These gateways serve not only as the City's major highways but also act as the first impression and often the only look from those using these roadways through our City. Outlined is a presentation on future and current hardscaping beatification plans along the major corridors. FISCAL IMPACT: While there is no fiscal impact related to this presentation, a wide variety of funding sources may be considered for implementing the concepts and plans. Staff continues to seek grant opportunities, and work with partners such as Caltrans to further beautification efforts.
