AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION B
OF SECTION 14.12.390 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO SEWER CONNECTION FEES IN CASES
OF ECONOMIC HARDSHIP.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Subsection B of Section 14.12.390 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
14.12.390
B.
Payment Requirements.
In cases of economic hardship, as determined by the City Council or its
designee, the City may enter into an agreement with the property owner of
a single family residence t:o allow said owner to pay the sewer connection fee
through the property owner's property tax bill over a period not to exceed
three years.. Said cost shall be considered a lien on the owner's property
upon which the connection was made. The agreement shall require an
indemnity from the property owner to protect the City.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal Code
and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage.
