MEETING OF MAY 31, 1995

The meeting was called to order at 5:20 p.m.
by Mayor Price.

ACTION TAKEN
DEPARTMENT BUDGET PRESENTATIONS.
Development Services
Development Services Director Hardisty pro-
vided an overview and slide presentation on
the proposed budget for Development Services
Department.
Mayor Price announced a recess at 6:03 p.m.
and reconvened the meeting at 6:08 p.m.
Police
Police Chief Brummer provided an overview
and slide presentation on the proposed
budget, including the expansion of the
Police building, for the Police Department
and distributed written material.
Police Sergeant Taylor provided an over-
view on the Community Oriented Policing
and Problem Solving Deployment Strategy.
Mayor Price announced a recess at 7:28 p.m.
and reconvened the meeting at 7:33 p.m.

4. BUDGET HEARING
ACTION TAKEN
Public hearing as required by Resolu-
tion of Intention No. 1136 to hear
public testimony regarding the merging
of four (4) Interim Maintenance Dis-
tricts into, and assessments for, the
Consolidated Maintenance District.
Deputy Clerk Zaragoza announced there
were 18 pieces of correspondence re-
ceived in opposition from citizens
that would be placed in the permanent
record:
James Anhalt Jr., dated May 7, 1955
and May 17, 1995; Louis Brown; Jess
Bruce, dated May 18, 1995; Edward
Byrne, dated April 30, 1995; Chriss
& Augusta Christensen, dated May 10,
1995; Pamela Cline, dated May 2, 1995;
Angela & Victoria Delfino, dated May
25, 1995 requesting a response; Clyde
Grady Jr., dated April 30, 1995; Frank
Jeffers, dated May 12, 1995; C.H. &
Donna Longanecker, dated May 1, 1995;
John Lovrien; Frank J. McKenna, dated
May 31, 1995; Samuel Nestor; Jeanette
Simpson, dated May 5, 1995; John &
Ellen Smith, dated May 3, 1995; J.R.
Taylor, dated May 8, 1995; and
Mayor Price announced this is the first
of two hearings to be held on this issue,
with no action required tonight. A pro-
test hearing will be held June 14, 1995.
Correspondence from David Gold, dated
May 2, 1995, stating concerns.
Community Services Business Manager
Lorenzi provided background information.
Hearing opened at 7:42 p.m.
