A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD CHANGING THE NAME OF
COUNCIL COMMII-FEE FOR URBAN
DEVELOPMENT TO "PLANNING AND
DEVELOPMENT."
WHEREAS, the Council Committee for Urban Development is charged
with consideration of items referred by the City Council regarding the standards
and policies associated with growth in the City of Bakersfield; and,
WHEREAS, a portion of the considerations conducted by the Committee
for Urban Development deal with the impacts of growth on the long term quality
of life issues in the City of Bakersfield; and,
WHEREAS, it is believed the name of this Council Committee does not
properly reflect the extent of the Committee's considerations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, incorporating the above recitals
herein, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The above recitals are true and correct;
Henceforth, the Council Committee for Urban Development shall be
known as the Council Committee for "Planning and Development."

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by
the Council of the ~C~ of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
