The appeal must be filed in writing within 10 days from date of the Board's hearing with the City Council, c/o City Clerk; 1501 Truxtun Avenue; Bakersfield, CA 93301. Appellants, except those within the public notice area, must include a $338 non-refundable filing fee with the appeal. If all appeals are withdrawn before the City Council's meeting, they will not hear the item and the Board's decision will become final. The City will not issue any permit, license or other approval for a use involved in an application until after the appeal period has closed. If the City Clerk does not receive an appeal within the 10- day period, the Board's decision will become final. CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS (Ward 1 ) 1) FILE NO. 03-0711 - RAY MISH has requested a Conditional Use Permit to allow use of two existing buildings as a funeral home in a C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial) zone district located at 531 California Avenue. Crematory facilities are not proposed as part of the request. Staff Recommendation: B. MODIFICATIONS (Ward 3) 1) FILE NO. 03-0655 - BAKERSFIELD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL has requested a Modification to allow construction of a 76 foot high hospital addition where the maximum allowed height is 35 feet in an R-1 HOSP (One-Family Dwelling - Hospital Combining Zone) located at 420 34th Street. The applicant intends to build a 4-story addition to the existing labor and delivery wing for Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. Staff Recommendation: 5. COMMUNICATIONS 6. BOARD COMMENTS 7.
