The appeal must be filed in writing within 10 days from date of the Board's hearing with the City Council, c/o City Clerk; 1501 Truxtun Avenue; Bakersfield, CA 93301. Appellants, except those within the public notice area, must include a $338 non-refundable filing fee with the appeal. If all appeals are withdrawn before the City Council's meeting, they will not hear the item and the Board's decision will become final. The City will not issue any permit, license or other approval for a use involved in an application until after the appeal period has closed. If the City Clerk does not receive an appeal within the 10- day period, the Board's decision will become final. PUBLIC STATEMENTS This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wanting to address the Board on any matter not on this agenda and over which the Board has jurisdiction. CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS (Ward 4) 1) FILE NO. 03-0744 - PORTER-ROBERTSON has requested a Conditional Use Permit to construct a mini-storage facility with 17 (mini) storage buildings with approximately 115,390 square feet of storage space, and to construct a 2,598 square foot office/caretakers residence in a C-2 (Regional commercial zone district located at 5150 Knudsen Drive. Staff Recommendation: Approve (Ward 2) 2) FILE NO. 03-0909 - HERTZ CAR RENTAL has requested a Conditional Use Permit to allow a rental car business and automobile tune up shop in a C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial) zone district. The tune up shop will provide maintenance for rental cars owned by the applicant and will not be open to the general public located at 1800 23rd Street. Staff Recommendation: Approve (Ward 4) 3) FILE NO. 03-0919 - Craig & Sandra Scharpenberg has requested a Conditional Use Permit to allow a micro-brewery associated with a restaurant and pub in a C-2 (Regional Commercial) zone district located at 281 (5 Calloway Drive.
