A RESOLUTION NAMING THE FUTURE NEIGHBORHOOD
PARK NORTH OF McKEE ROAD AT AKERS ROAD AND
WHITEGATE AVENUE "STONECREEK PARK"
WHEREAS, on August 30, 1995 the City and Dandy and Associates entered into
Agreement No. 95-231 for the purpose of dedication and acquisition of a 6 acre park site
generally located near Akers Road and McKee Road; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Agreement 95-231, the City holds title to the future
6 acre neighborhood park site currently referred to as "Akers and Whitegate Park"; and
WHEREAS, developer of the subdivision, Dandy and Associates has proposed to
enter into an agreement with the City for the construction of the park, to be completed by
July, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the subdivision into which the park will be located is currently referred
to as Stonecreek; and
WHEREAS, the Councilmember and the developer of the subdivision wish to adopt
a name for the proposed park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AS FOLLOWS:
The proposed park on Akers Road north of McKee Road shall be named
"Stonecreek Park."
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the
Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on ~lJ~ 2 ~ 1996 ,
